Meet Dr. Tim

Timothy Filippini, DC

Dr. Filippini was drawn to athletics as a kid and wrestled at Illinois State University on scholarship. The constant demands college sports put on his body are where his interest in sports medicine began, and it never left. Early in his career he served on the medical staff of a professional indoor football team as a team chiropractor.

He earned a Bachelors Degree in Human Biological Sciences in 1995 and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National College of Chiropractic in 1999, adding a Certification in Strength & Conditioning the same year. That mix shows up in his care: precise diagnosis paired with results-driven home exercises, because he believes patients should take an active role in their own recovery.

Since moving his practice to Lemont in 2008, he has built a close working relationship with the local high school and many youth sports teams. His patients have ranged in age from 2 months to past 90 years old, and each one gets a plan built around their own needs and goals.
